YYYYYY For cultural communication

Qanttara means archway in the English language.

Qanttara seeks to communicate between the past and the present to get into better future, as Mousilli archways have always been a path of communication... deriving that from Mosul, which connected the east with west and since the dawn of history... recalling its nobility from the historical archways of Nineveh ...

Qanttara is concerned with culture communication... It highlights the culture of Mosul and the civilization that it has enjoyed throughout its history to convey Mosul's voice to the world... Believing in the extreme importance of culture and communication between people and the exchange of experiences and acquaintance between cities culturally and cognitively...

The Old City of Mosul has long been famous for its stone arches (Qanttara)… City of Mosul is one of the great cities of the east.

Mosul was one of the major stations of the Silk Road, which contributed to
the flourish of trade, industries, and crafts. In this city, the famous Mousiline fabric—made of silk, cotton, and gold—was produced and marketed all over the world.

The German orientalist researcher Zigrid Honke talked in detail about Mosul and expressed deep admiration for Mosul in her famous book (The Sun of Arabia Shines on the West).

Many Western travelers and famous personalities visited Mosul.

Since Qanttara attaches great importance to culture, through it we can build a more coherent economy, so its first work was to publish the photobook “Messages from Mosul, Tales of Soul and Destiny” The book sends messages of hope described by the victorious will of man to create a
brighter tomorrow for cities that have suffered and will suffer from the scourge of wars And destruction... Despite what was and will remain, hope is the faithful companion for cities afflicted by devastation and wars...

The book was praised by the prominent Iraqi thinker Professor Imad Al Din Khalil, who described it as a wonderful artistic book in which imagination mixed with reality... The book includes literary texts matched by artistic photographs.

This comes through more than 40 literary Tales and more than 90 artistic photographs, distributed between, short stories, tales, and thoughts narrated to us by the anemone ... divided between into three sections of the book.

Starting its tales by "Tales of distant Yesterday" to tell us the cultural depth of Mosul, then reaching "Tales of Fall".
